I am getting errors while trying to do a static FEA analysis of a structure using beam elements.

So far I have done the following...

Standard...
Made multiple 'datum points' in 3 dimensions
Connected them with the 'curve' option

Mechanica...
Applied 'beam elements' using 'point to point pairs'.
Applied loads/constraints to points (also tried applying to 'edges/curves')

I get 'fatal errors' as soon as the analysis starts.

What am I doing wrong, cheers for the help...

attach you part file such that I can help what exactly is wrong.

Unfortunately its a educational version file mate, incompatable with the full version.

Anyways, I drew it up again and am now not getting the same errors for some reason? Not sure what I have done differently?

Thank you.

Try removing the curve since you are not really using it. you defined a point-to-point beam, right? constrain the first point then apply the load on the second one. this should work...
