In an assembly or part, how would you constrain a part that may move in one direction but not the other? Example, if you set an apple on a table, it can be lifted off but isunable to push into the table. thanks

This can be simulated with a Cam connection in assembly mode. You will need to enable "liftoff" to get he effect you are looking for.

parbs,

Is your question for a structural analysis or for a multi-body dynamics analysis? The answer is different depending on what type of problem you are trying to solve. In fact, there are a couple solutions if you are talking about a multi-body dynamics problem.

Cheers,

Chris
