constrain problem in composite and metalic model

i am doing sol(101) and sol(103) of main landing gear strut is of composite material and upper assembly (by which it is attached to fuselage) is matelic one.i am doing 2-d meshing of strut since is composite and 2d meshing of upper assembly but since strut is composite it is attached by some interface to assembly neither bolted or welded.when i am running sol(103)the strut and assembly was not showing combine motion.when stut moves assembly is stationary or vice versa how should i connect them so that both move simultaneously due to this problem i am not getting sol(101).i am using nastran solver and working on patran.
