I would like to constrain a round "tooling ball" to the surface of a block. Is there an easy way to do this, do both components need to be in an assembly and use assembly constraints? If so, what is the procedure to do this? Any advice would be appreciated thank you.

Wow theres some real CadKey users out there. lol

Are you using Cadkey or KeyCreator? Cadkey wasn’t able to do assemblies. Cadkey, now KeyCreator is a direct modeler, no need for constraints.
This forum is dead, have you tried posting on the Kubotek webforum? Lots of users there. You don’t need to be current on maintenance to post, just a legal user.

KeyCreator lol...my apologies. Do you have any knowledge of how to constrain say a round sphere to a surface? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Access KeyCreator University - there are many tutorials PDF and KeyCreator movies on many topics:
Most of the content can be accesses without a customer number.

If that doesn't help, there is also a linked-in and Facebook page for KeyCreator. The links are located on the header of the website page for Kubotek USA:
They also have a phone number for support there 800-372-3872.

I hope that helps.

Scott
