Const Torque query

Dear member

Could anyone kindly explain to me why the const torque motor is cheaper than const power ? Since the graph attached show that for const torque or const power all fit that formula P*Q=const (P is pressure, Q is pumping rate).

Not a valid question.
You need to buy a motor that matches your load.

Constant torque loads are prevalent in hoists, conveyors, printing presses, positive displacement pumps, some mixers and extruders and reciprocating and rotary compressors.

Centrifugal pumps have variable torque loads.

This forum is about, well, pipes and pipelines. Things which are not meant to move. You've posted within a month at forum407. You'll find a much better audience there. They understand things which are supposed to move.
 
Actually the Electric Motors and Generators Forum would be even better.
