Connecting neutral to ground in a ALC switch?

An Onq ALC dimmer switch requires uninterrupted 120 VAC that must be present at each switch loaction. In addition, they also require AC neutral. I do not have a neutral at the switch location but i do have a ground. Could anyone help on this problem.

Most North American codes, and probably others require an insulated neutral. "Noise" may be a problem substituting an equipment ground conductor for the purpose.

you have to use an isolation transformer ...1:1 ratio will do the job..and you are troublefree..

I agree with busbar that a connection to ground is probably against code. It would probably work, electrically, but I would recommend against it. Codes are there for a reason.

I disagree with dydt, I don't see how a transformer could possibly solve your problem. In addtion, any possible configuration you came up with for a transformer connection would require a connection to ground, which would be against code.

My recommendation is, run the neutral.
