Confused by reference to 13-1 in ASME VIII, DIV.1 APP.2

In the scope of Appendix 2, 2-1(b), it states "...stresses in the flange, calculated in accordance with 13-1..."

The 13-1 formatting makes me think that it is the 1st section of Appendix 13, VESSELS OF NONCIRCULAR CROSS-SECTION, but that doesn't seem to apply to design of custom flanges.

What am I missing here?

That is very odd. It was referring to 2-7 in the 2015 Edition, and there is nothing in the summary of changes that would indicate that this paragraph was intended to be modified. I suspect that the publisher buggered that up - it happens.

Please submit an inquiry to the Code Committee notifying them of this as an errata.
