Just testing concrete 2d frame. Need genereal explanation. If i have 10m long beam, and 15cm confinement space, means i need 67 pieces of confinement bars. I do not understand program input (red area)?
I believe its the number of legs required/provided for your confinement reinforcing. Go read your code and you'll see these inputs in context.
You should at least be familiar with the workings of the design code you're using. Based on the question it suggests that you perhaps need to read up a bit on the requirements and do a few hand checks to familiarise yourself with what the 'black box' is doing here. Simply plugging numbers into software without understanding of the underlying fundamentals can be a recipe for disaster.
Direction 1 is the frame axis and directions 2 and 3 are at the section plane. Thus, those numbers are the number of stirup legs at the section plane.
Read the manual regarding local and global axes.
Remember the USA flag, 'red white and blue(green in later versions)' as local axes 1/2/3 if you struggle to make sense of the direction/orientation of members visually when applying any of these criteria or looking at shear/moment diagrams.
