I'm currently designing a private industry bio-gas plant in Kelowna, British Columbia and had a bit of an issue regarding Canadian regulations. Being from the US, I'm used to the NEC regulation which allows for rigid PVC embedded conduit in a Class I Division II hazardous location, though the contractors I have discussed this with can not agree whether or not this is allowed in the CEC code. I'm sure there is a definitive regulation on this, it's just no one I have consulted with has been able to supply any concrete backing one way or the other. Does anyone have any experience in this area?
