I accidently installed a piece of galvanized water pipe in a conduit run. I did not notice the red printing on the side of the pipe. I am sure this pipe has a higher strength rating than regular rigid conduit. Is this a violation of the NEC?

Technically, yes this is a violation. Pipe must be UL-marked for use as electrical conduit.

Thank You, That is just as I figured. It was in a straight run and I thought the UL concern was the ability to bend the conduit with a bender without compromising its integrity. I have since removed it.
