I have a question for the esteemed staff here regarding a vent from the condensate pump section to the condenser. I do remember that we put a vent from the condensate pump suction line to the condenser, but I honestly can't remember where it should be tied into the condenser; above normal water level or inside the hotwell water at normal level. If anybody can provide some guidance it would be greatly appreciated.

Would imagine it should tie in at above max condensate level in the hot well of the surface condensor, so it gets to vent at all possible condensate levels.

George, I appreciate the response. We will try that and just keep the suction vent valves closed until a vacuum is established. Thanks...
