Does anyone have rule of thumb guide for Austalian standards code for building steps, I'm formworking some concrete ones for home, and require the tread and rise standards. i'd say there much the same world wide.

TO the best of my knowledge here in the states it's taken as an 11" tread with a 7" rise max to meet ADA requirements.

In general, the combination of two risers and a tread should be about 24 to 25 inches. This provides adequate tread depth to accommodate most feet and the riser height is compatible with most gaits.
