I am trying to identify an existing concrete floor system for an existing Commercial Strip Plaza Retail building constructed in 1957 in CT.
The floor system consists of a 4.5" thk cast-in-place concrete slab over a series of pre-cast concrete I-Joists. The I-Joists span 25' and are 14" deep x 4.5"W flanges (T&B). Reinforcement appears to be either (2) #5 or (2) #9 T&B. There are no welded end plates that would indicate pre-stressing. Reinforcing bars appear to run horizontally (not draped), (4) bars per I-Joist section. Joist spacing is 30"OC.
Can you tell me what type of floor system this might be and how would you recommend to analyze for floor load capacity?
