Does anyone have any info if there is an American Design Guide that covers Concrete filled hollow steel pipes ? I have seen formulas in the Canadian Steel Code S16 but I am looking for an American eqivalent. Thanks.

It is Chapter I and related items in LRFD. I have posted sheets in Mathcad Collaboratory for free download that make this kind of calculations.

Can I use strain compatibility concept to find the interaction of axial load and uniaxial bending? and how can I check for shear strength and shear transfer between concrete&steel. Thanks

Dear ishvaaag,

under what name you posted mathcad sheet for this calculation?. i am looking for design procedure for this too, preferably using bs code, if you could help. thanks
