I am investigating the installation of equipment on an existing 2nd floor deck which is over 20yrs old...the equipment has four support legs spaced approx 26ins apart with 4" circular base plates....the weight of the equipment is 5500 lbs total and the equipment will be located midway between bms that are on 73in centers.....the slab is USD 2" FLOOR-LOK composite deck ...20ga with 6x6 1.4x1.4wm...liteweight conc...3000psi...the deck was originally desiged for 125 lbs/sq.ft....globally it is ok but concerned about the conc loads of 1375lbs at each base pl ...the original live load will never be fully present...probably 4/5 personnel plus this equip ...this equipment is in a clean washdn room where cracking of the conc would be a PITA......any suggestions/opinions would be welcome especially neg mom cracking of slab...thanks
