Hello All,

I am working on compression after impact simulations. Currently, my simulation is still running but I am monitoring my simulation and I noticed a lot of oscillations in my force (or stress-strain curve) while I don't see this behavior experimentally.
I have attached an image of my simulation curve (orange curve). I am just curious what those oscillations are? Are they related to damage? buckling?

Such oscillations may be caused by aliasing. It’s a very common issue in Abaqus/Explicit analyses. To reduce it you can use filters available both i processing and postprocessing stage.
