Does anyone know how to insert lines on compound angles in 3D sketches without makings planes first? I have the start point and two angles.
Thanks Ken

You can "relate" your lines parallel or perpendicular to planes or edges.
Then you can use a dimension to set your angle.

Using the start point, 2 angles & line length, you can calculate the end point of the line. Armed with that, you can then adjust the line Parameters (LH side of screen) after placing the line.

I can dimension in one direction only. Need to rotate 90° and dimension the 2nd angle.

I have that happen to - no way to control it - as far as I know.
Just use the angle you get to put your line in the right place.
Maybe that'd be a good enhancement request.

I'm still waiting for a linear pattern with a spiral twist.

You can already do this. You need to make construction lines along the X,Y and Z directions to define the angles and then dimension the angles between the construction lines. Yes, you can dimension both of the angles, or use the lengths of the construction lines instead if you want.

You will need 6 construction lines to define the angle of a single 3D line (2 triangles - each one parallel to the direction in which you will add the angular dimensions.
