Hello,
How does everyone handle composites in a BOM? I have done this sort of thing manually in the past by putting the laminate schedule down etc. but treating the laminate as a single part. I just wonder how everyone does this when it comes to using a PDM system.
One thing I have thought of is just to make datum curves on the laminate part and use those to specify the ply orientation etc. then putting that info in a parameter (note) for the drawing.
Any thoughts on best practices would be appreciated.
