What is Your expirience with composite wrap for onshore underground gas pipeline repairs?
Until now we have used Clock Spring, some times WrapMaster (PermaWrap). I think this is fiber glass wrap's.
Now we have some "Black Diamond" (Res-Q) which is carbon wrap, much more flexibile around welds, tee's, bend's, etc. We need it for repair of corrosion anomalies 30-40% of pipewall thickness, sometimes up to 60%.
Question is it acceptable for use and is it suitable replacement for Clock Spring? How is regulated acceptance by currently valid standards?
I know about manufacturers presentation facts, but I want 3'rd party opinion ..
