Composite Beams with Large Web Openings

Hi

I was reading through SCI P355; Composite Beams with Large Web Openings and somehow in section 6.2-Design Effects I dont quite get how the bending moment and shear force at midspan and at edge respectively, were calculated.


I am attaching a screenshot of the above. (p.95)

Looks pretty straightforward to me. What is it that you disagree with?

Simply taking moments and summing forces for BM and SF respectively. Neither the ope nor the fact that its composite have any influence on this method.
