Complex Cast Components

Hi all,

I am needing a very complex aluminium part cast with no imperfections. Has anyone any personal experience in this type of problem. No foundries that have been contacted so far seem to be able to cast it to the standards required.

from what I know, casting will have imperfections, you have to have your part machined afterwards. this might be better posted in the mechanical section, we are just a bunch of silly structural guys.

You might have some air sprue holes that will have to be ground off. You might talk to a couple of the casting outfits and see how they can best produce it.
