Really, I'm not unsympathetic. Unfortunately, in order to keep up with performance demands and enhancements, any software of this complexity has to keep migrating to the latest hardware and OS platforms. You regulars know I keep saying this. Once you get into this kind of software you are on a constant upgrade path - like it or not. So you have to budget for it. The initial purchase becomes less significant. It can be unfortunate and disappointing so some, but it really is a case of "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen". So often I hear the complaint that "I need... but it's too expensive." If that is the case, I'm afraid you need to take a brutal look at your business and realize you are trying to compete out of you league or seriously underfunded. However in student and/or home use situations it really is tough.
