Hi,
I have to compare two specs for a box (electronic package). The box is already meets SAE J1455 spec:
-Vibration: 4g peak 100-1100Hz,
-Shock 18g for 2milisec).
Now, there is another enviromental spec that we are trying to meet:
-Vibration: 1.5g RMS, 5 to 150Hz (operational), 8g RMS, 100 to 1,100Hz (endurance)
-Shock: 5g of 6 milliseconds

This is all data that I have and I am wonder if meeting SAE spec assure me that the box meets second spec. I appreaciate any help.
Thank you.

You'd have to know a fair bit more about the system before you could be confident of meeting the shock requirement.

And I suspect the 8g rms is a lot more than the 4g peak.
