I'm wondering if anyone has input on cutoff pressures for compaction grouting. We'll be mitigating from 100 feet below ground surface up to 5 - 10 feet below grade. The ASCE compaction grouting consensus guide states that most soils are effectively compacted at a sustained pressure with a rage of 350-500 psi at a reasonable injection rate. The contractor is proposing 150 psi as a cutoff which is in line with a 1 to 2 psi/ft "rule of thumb" I've hear of. Anyone have any experience with specifying cutoff pressures?
