Commentary to AS1170.4-2007

Does anyone know whether the commentary to AS1170.4 is going to be sold via sai global or will it be a stand alone publication from the Australian Earthquake Engineering Society.

I read on the aees website (

http://www.aees.org.au)

that the commentary was to be release at this weekends conference (Newcastle: 20 years on) and will be available for purchase after that.

Well it says at the site that the publication will be available for sale through the secretariat, so presumably it is being sold independently of SAI Global.

Seems like a courageous decision (in the "Yes Minister" sense).

I shall watch developments with interest.
