Comfogurations and BOM 1

Is there a way to stop the name of the configuration be shown in the BOM with the quantity property? I can edit the column to delete the configuration name but any rebuild will bring it back. I am using SW2009 SP2.1

Regarding the title of this thread, I could swear I wrote "Configurations and BOM"!

Accident or no, "comfogurations" can be very fitting.

Go to Tools > Options > Document Properties > Tables > Bill Of Materials and select Restrict top-level only BOM's to one configuration.
