We are currently trying out a gas tank to melt glass cullet we always used electric furnaces. what do you monitor to know your combustion is correct?
 
Temperature
If lead glass, must be oxidizing (O2 surplus ) !

actually its aluminasilicate glass. when we refine this glass its at a temp of 2600 F. its a very high temp glass almost like borosilicate. does the temp of 2600 make a difference
