Greetings,

In SolidWorks 2012, importing an Adobe AI sketch involves opening it as its own file. What would be the best way to combine 4-5 AI sketches from separate files to make a well formed box?

Thanks and Regards,
Eleu

Hi Gupta,

Thanks for the option description. I'd been wondering if it would be better to do that or perhaps extrude each side in its own file and join them in an assembly, perhaps as mates, or <another option provided by those more versed in this than myself ; - )>

There seem to be some limitations on the features brought in from AI, even in terms of rotating them along the z axis, with many of the options for features/sketches greyed out. (There might be an easy way around those that I am not aware of yet, of course.) So, putting them together as connecting sides of a box in a single part file is not working for me yet. I'll keep poking around and see if I'm simply missing a click step or something, though.

Regards,
Eleu
