Combining a series of pi-sections of a transmission line model to a single pi-section

Hi,

I'm actually trying to calculate overhead power line parameters which works quite fine so far. For some lines I calculate for example 2 sections because of varying heights above ground (quite short lines of less than 10 km length) and I'd like to combine my 2 pi-models to a single model. If I'd only use the elements R and X it would be no problem to get the total R and X per km. Using the capacitance I'm not sure how to summarize the elements correctly (the average weighed by length would not be completely correct). [ponder]

Maybe some of you are familiar with the problem or even know the solution. :)
