I'm trying to figure out a way to make a "coiled coil" in Pro/E, I try some method, but it was not working. I think the Curve by Equation is good, but I don't know this parametric equations.
You "try some method?" What method would it be that you tried?
A coil is a helix, so like dgallup said, use a helical sweep. You can do it with a curve by equation too, and the equation should be simple if you know you pitch and diameter.
Are you talking something along the lines of an old phone cord if any one knows about them anymore.
If you want something like that you can use a Helical sweep to make a surface coil and use it's edge as a path for a Variable Section Sweep.
The VSS can consist of a single line with a relation to make it curve around whatever path you use.
Yeah, here it is. Just use your equation in Pro/E for a datum curve. You will have to make it in degrees rather than rads for Pro/E, and put in an expression so t goes from -8 to 8.
