Hi,

About the SAP2000 steel postprocessor:

1) Can SAP2000 design cold formed steel sections?
2) Does anyone here did any verification of the results of the steel postprocessor? Any bugs to report?

I used a soft that has a lot o bugs in the steel postprocessor.

Humm... one more: Is SAFE a good software? What is the number of the newest version of SAFE? (sorry if there is another forum for this question)

The new Sap V8 is going to have cold formed sections design. It is still under development as for version 8.1.1 and I don't think is working correctly. Safe it is a very good intuitive software and works great! The newest version is 7.01.

STAAD has cold-formed design for Canadian and US codes. I use it primalrily for ASD and aluminum but I know it comes with it for no extra charge.
