I would like to control the 60Hz AC power to a coil that will be used as a demagnetizer. I do not want to use a rheostat, but rather a state-of-the-art digital circuit that can be adjusted by an operator.

Not high tech but a variac will work. Electronic-single phase PWM servo amplifier driven by a variable amplitude sine wave.

Do you want to vary the voltage, current or both??

I would like to control the voltage.

What's happened in the last 6 months?
