Hi all,
Can anyone tell me about the coefficient of subgrade reaction? Is it same as elasticity of soil? In either case is it possible to represent it by a spring support while modelling a structure in SAP or STAAD. If so, what is the normal value for common soil?

Do a search of the Eng-Tips site - so so so many times this has been a topic of discussion.
