I'm searching a surface treatment that would improve the corrosion resistance of aluminum alloys while be completely free of any porosity and resistant to abrasion.
Anodization is not the appropriate surface treatment because its pores absorbs water which cause process variation.

What is going to cause corrosion in a vacuum chamber?

A corrosive gas inserted in the vacuum chamber.

Electroless nickel, chromium plating, a thermal spray coating...

Cory
