I can not understant how you do coagulation in the same basin. I guess you flash mix before the basin. Anyway, you can find also a lot of details on the subject at:
1)A.W.W.A. Research Foundation, (1991), Mixing in Coagulation and Flocculation, Amirtharajah, A., Clark, M. M. and Trussell, R. R. (eds).
2)Montgomery, J. M. J., (1976), Water Treatment Principles and Design, John Wiley and Sons Inc., USA, pp. 696.
3)Armitharajah, A., (1978), Design of rapid mixers, In Water Treatment, Principles and Practices of Water Supply Operations, AWWA, Denver, Colo, USA.
And remember the use of the G value as a mixing control parameter has been strongly questioned by numerous researchers:
Clark, M. M., (1986), Critique of Camp and Stein’s velocity gradient, Journal of Environmental Engineering, A.S.C.E., 110, 741.
Cleasby, J. L., (1984), Is velocity gradient a valid turbulent flocculation parameter?, Journal of Environmental Engineering, A.S.C.E., 110, 875.
