Dear all,
I am looking for lightweight controllable clutch in both engaged and disengaged modes such as (electromagnetic clutch) which works under the following conditions:
1- Maximum speed=80rpm
2- Continous rated torque=60N.m
3- Maximum peak torque= 150N.m
4- maximum allowable weight is 0.5kg
Could anyone advise me if there is a lightweight clutch which gives the following specifications. I tried to find it, but I faild.

Give Matrix a call - see if they have anything in their range.

We use a clutch from Inertia Dynamics and they have been very helpful.

I bet that 0.5kg is going to be hard to achieve. Most of the weight in an electromagnetic clutch is the windings and back-iron needed get high magnetic flux densities and forces.

150 N-m at 80 RPM is 1250W, that's a lot of power it has to transmit.

Exactly how "controllable" do you need it to be?

Beat to fit, paint to match.

I mean that I can control when it will be either engaged or disengaged.
