Has anyone used a UV spectrophotometer to analyze swab or rinse samples of detergent residue during a cleaning validation?

Not in my company! I guess you can use the disposable cuvet and maintain the SOP where you deal with spills and other accidental contamination materials.

We use conductivity to confirm removal of detergent. I'm also aware of TOC being used......

You have not provided much background as to the nature of the residue or cleaning agent, and with no specfic question you cannot get specific answers. UV detection alone will result from all components of the residue unless first separated, by chromatography, for example. I use evaporative light scattering detection where ANY residue other than solvent is detected, with the product used to make the standard. Detergent residue can be quantified by pH, acid-base titration, or shake test.
