I just got old and used (almost antique) micrometers and depth gage. It's pretty dirty and lot of particle/burr deposit in the reading scale. I'd like to take them apart and clean them inside and out before I calibrate them. What type of solution should I use?. MEK?..Acetone?? Any special detergent outhere that you guys use.

Thanks
