Other than the recipes in the astm spec G1 does anyone have a rcipe/procedure for chemically cleaning ss corosion coupons?. I know a lot has to do with whats on them, I don't know for sure, its just a real thin film almost baked on the coupon. Straight hcl didn't faze them.
