I'm attempting to do a document to explain myself and my collegues the classification of silicone sealants. What I saw over internet is that most of the time, the classification goes like that:
  • Acetoxy silicone (condensation cure + humidity + organic tin catalyst)
  • Alcoxy silicone (condensation cure + humidity + organic tin catalyst)
  • Oxime silicone (condensation cure + humidity + organic tin catalyst)
  • UV-DUAL (alkoxy or oxime) silicone (condensation cure + humidity + organic tin + UV light)
  • Platine silicone (addition cure + organic platinum catalyst)
So I also saw the peroxide silicone. I did not achieve to put it in the classification yet. Is it a subgroup of the ones listed above? If not, is it a thing on its own?
