Hi there. Please see attached in relation to my question. In a discussion regarding the MP pipeline route in the attached. we are trying to establish if Is the pipeline is laid within/inside the bridge? Is this a normal practice? I have never seen this practice before and i usually see them exposed whilst attached to the bridge. Furthermore, could it be also laid under the road with increased depth of cover to reduce the bearing pressure of the bridge foundation.

This activity is in regards to an utility diversion i am working on and i want consider employing the practice of burying the pipe inside the bridge once it is diverted, if indeed it was the original practice.

Appreciate that the utility owner will be the best to advise if i contact them but till then i will just like an input from seasoned professionals.

P.S, this is the link of the street view of the location of the bridge.

Pretty common for the type of bridge you have to lay low pressure main gas and water pipelines in the bridge section.

Where in the road? Could be anywhere but my guess would be the pavement, not the road way.

Actually didn't look at the plan properly - Almost certainly in the pavement.
