Hello, how it's possible to calculate clamping force for sheet metal bending device? I can't find any literature, or other information source. Sheet metal thickness 1.5 mm, bend radius 2mm, bend length 272mm. Picture is attached how it looks like. Thank you ;)

find literature on Jigs and Fixtures on the Internet and formulae should be available.

I tried, but there is nothing what i can use.

PiXsiS, I am in no way a machine or tool designer but I imagine that if you could find the maximum force in the plane of leg being clamped, due to the bending of the other leg, you would then need only enough normal (clamping) force to resist it.

Regards,

Mike
