Hi all

If anyone give me some thoughts about how to calculate this clamp friction would be appreciated.

this clamps are holding up 24kn( each pipe) weight cast iron vent pipe. no pressures inside pipe .

i assume these clamp brackets are subjected to tension due to torque applied to hold the pipes .

I am just wondering how we can check the adequacy of clamp plate to hold this pipes .

Please share any reference to calculate clamp tension and friction forces

Thanks in Advance
