Dear Experts,
Can any body suggest the manufacturing process for cladded and line CRA pipe. Because API 5LD which is a relevent spec. for cladded or lined CRA pipe does not specifiy the proces of manufacturing.

Thanks Steve,

Further to the query do you have any idea why most of operating industry in oil gas sector prefers only metallurgic ally bonded pipe and not mechanically bonded pipe.

Regards,

5L is pipeline work with long distance transport after coating, rough handling and lots of bending and sagging.

Dear Steve,
Do you know of any history of failure in lined pipe i.e.liner collapse.
Thanks

Not in service. I do know of collapses in individual pipes at the coating plant. But just to put things in perspective, there is lined pipe on the seabed; BP have put it in and Santos Exeter-Mutineer put some in a couple of years back. As I type, Petroleum Development Oman are installing about 25 km of 14 and 16-inch 825 lined pipe onshore.
