I am currently running LDD. I keep hearing that LDD in its present form will be gone soon and that civil 3d will be the platform. Does anybody know?

Rumor has it that LDD will be gone, but they'll have to incorporate alot of LDD's features (ie survey, pipe, hydrology) into Civil 3D first. I hope they do it right and not rush a lousy product.
