civil 3D alignment major station labels

anyone has any idea how to rotate the major station labels of an alignment to 180 degrees? i have an alignment for which the station labels currently read from right to left. i do not want to reverse the alignment, just want to tweak the major station label style so that the station labels are rotated 180 degrees at their place. i tried turning plan readability to false and rotating text 180 deg in the style window, it shows the preview the way i want, but when i apply it, nothing changes. any ideas on where i am going wrong?
