Circular successive curve vs Circular non-successive curve 1

Please explain the different between circular successive curve and circular non-successive curve. I am in Transportation dept and would like to know the differents

A "progressive curve" is probably a "spiral curve", where the radius changes by an ever decreasing value from the maximum until it finally makes a tanget at the point of intersection with a succeeding straight route.

Successive curves would imply one curve following another - otherwise known as a compound curve. Non-successive curves would imply tangent sections between a series of curves. A web search revealed this terminology in a design guide Canadian roads.
