Does anyone have a good reference for equations for calculating induced moments in a circular slab (simply supported) with uniform pressure?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, that's a great resource for steel, but I have to admit I'm a bit rusty determining the effective stresses in concrete, where calculation of phiMn is no problem. Also, it seems to me that these equations may tend to be unconservative if applied directly since reinforced concrete is not a homogenous isotropic material assumed in the equations.

Thanks

The Portland Cement Association publication "Circular Concrete Tanks Without Prestressing" has a method to determine moments (and reinforcing) in elevated circular slabs, but it assumes fixed, not pinned, supports.

You probably can try using yield line method for concrete design. This kind of problem is a typical kind of example for yield line method in any advanced concrete design book that has a chapter on this.

You can use yield lines or strip method for the design. There may be the formula for the moments in Roark's book or you can make and FE model.
