Hi everyone this is my first post.

Im more a mechanical guy so be kind :)

I would like to see if someone could tell what I need to setup a circuit from a CO2 sensor RS5600 to operate a 24v fan relay.

I would like to be able to adjust the ppm activation point. So I not sure if this is controlled by voltage??? :/

any help on wiring and components would be great.

thanks

Hi BenjiAU,

You have a long, long way to go... This is just a raw sensor, perhaps you should be looking at completed products. There is a lot of signal conditioning and biasing that needs to be done, and these sensors typically need a microprocessor to read the small-signal output and linearize it (to say nothing of calibration).

Stick this in Google: "Telaire CO2 sensor" and "Yamatake CO2 sensor" You may be able to see what all will be involved. If you're determined to build your own, and you don't have a lot of electronics background, you might want to start with requesting application help from the sensor manufacturer.

Or -- someone else on this forum might have more time to walk you through it.

In any event, let us know how it goes for you!!

Good on ya,

Goober Dave

Thanks Dave,

I think your right. I might have to delegate this one to the wallet.

thanks for the response.
