I am evaluating cleaning in place systems at my company and I am seekng literature that I can read. Currently we run the cip solution through the entire piping system at once only controlling the temperature and conductivity. I am seeking to reo control the velocity by determining the best cleaning method by run the solution through ceratin parts of the piping at a time until complete.

Need more information, what industry are you in? What are you trying to clean?

As a rule of thumb, pipe velocities of around 1.5m/sec are needed or a Re greater than 10,000 i.e. fully turbulent flow are a reasonable start point.
